Quesadilla Sauce
This recipe is a big family hit. Special thanks to my niece, Hannah, for giving me the idea to add quesadillas to Taco Tuesdays …its now a classic! Here’s my recipe for the sauce. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cup Hellmann’s mayonnaise
- 5 1/2 tsp sugar
- 4 tsp cumin
- 4 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 tsp hot jalapeno juice
- 2 tsp cold water

- In a medium sized bowl, add all ingredients…then whisk.
- Add jalapeno juice and water. Mix well.
- Taste to see if it needs any adjustments. (You’ll notice after you make it enough times, this will become less and less.)
- Funnel in squeeze bottle and store in frig.
- Then make chicken quesadillas with whats left over for dinner!
* yields 1 and a half squeeze bottles
NOTES:
- I usually double this recipe and give two bottles out to craving friends and family! Haha Enjoy!!
- Final Taste Adjustments :
More Heat – cayenne pepper
More Twang – jalapeno juice
Too Thick – water
Too Hot – sugar
