Breakfast Sausage Gravy

 

 

As of yet, I haven’t made this gravy, but I’ve heard this one is loved by  everyone..whether you’re a low carb enthusiast of not. Thanks for the recipe Steph..i will make this soon! lol

 


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (12 ounce) roll of breakfast sausage.
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 tsp of Xanthan Gum, for thickening
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Brown and crumble sausage in sauce pan.
  2. Remove ground sausage from pan leaving behind the grease.
  3. Over medium to high heat, add Heavy whipping cream to grease.
  4. Whisk in Xanthan Gum.
  5. Continue to whisk and bring to a boil.
  6. Remove from heat once it reaches desired thickness.
  7. Add sausage back to pan.
  8. Add salt and pepper to taste.

NOTES:

  • If you’re only making one or two serving, you can half this recipe.
  • Xanthan Gum amount can be tinkered to you preference as it is used primarily as the thickening agent.
