Almond Flour Biscuits

 

 

 My friend from work sent me this recipe on Pinterest. These are a welcome addition to my breakfast morning! Paired with the low carb gravy recipe she sent me, there’s NO reason you can’t maintain a low carb lifestyle with awesome alternatives like these! I hope you dig them too. INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cups Almond Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 tbsp melted Butter
  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/3 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°

  1. Add all the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir with fork, set aside.
  2. In separate bowl, add all the wet ingredients and blend well fork.
  3. Combine your wet and dry mixes with a spatula.
  4. Stir in Cheese. (Optional)
  5. Spray cupcake pan with baking spray.
  6. Spoon in the dough and try to add even amount to each. Remembering that this dough will rise.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.

Yields 9 biscuits

NOTES:

  • If you want Red Lobster style biscuits.. add 1/2 tsp of Garlic.
